Community Arts Center

* Lobby

The grand lobby of the Community Arts Center features meticulously restored, art deco painting in the ceiling coves and dual staircases leading to the mezzanine, loge, and balcony levels of the venue. The carpet was manufactured to exactly match the carpet that covered the floors when the building was opened in 1928 as the Capitol Theatre. In keeping with the "Moorish Art Deco" theme of the theatre, the grand lobby wall treatment is intended to create the illusion of leather.
