About Heroes & Love Williamsport Symphony Orchestra

Chopin just turned 200 last year and we want to celebrate his music by playing one of his most beautiful pieces, the Piano Concerto No. 1 ---- an extremely poetic and passionate work that will be masterfully performed by the Italian pianist, Roberto Plano. Mahler’s orchestral journey without considering the
song cycles starts in 1889 with the premier of his Symphony No. 1. It is called the “Titan” because it is 
based on a poem written by Jean Paul. This is the perfect piece to close a magical season because Mahler’s 
music is full of power, beauty, hope and excitement.
