December 4, 2021 – December 5, 2021

Nothing says the holidays like a 20-foot tree in the CAC lobby and the Nutcracker on stage.

Once again the Community Arts Center, Lycoming College, and Saint John’s School of the Arts have joined forces to present this holiday classic on the only stage in Lycoming County grand enough to contain it. As in the past, Nutcracker will feature a live orchestra composed of Lycoming College students and local musicians, as well as a completely local intergenerational cast of more than 100 dancers aged 4 to adult.

This classic tale follows the journey of a little girl who falls asleep on Christmas Eve after a party at her home only to dream herself into a fantastical world where toys are larger than life and the Nutcracker comes alive to defend her against the Mouse King. With some of the most beautiful music ever written and dance numbers as exciting as they are historic, it’s a journey every family will enjoy.
