You can’t stop the beat — and you won’t want to miss it! The Community Theatre League takes over the Journey Bank Community Arts Center with the feel-good, full-throttle Broadway blockbuster, Hairspray! Step into 1960s Baltimore, where Tracy Turnblad’s big hair and even bigger heart turn the world upside down. Packed with show-stopping numbers like “Good Morning, Baltimore,” “Welcome to the 60s,” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat,” this Tony Award-winning musical explodes with laughter, love, and a message of inclusion that still rocks today. Community Theatre League presents Hairspray is scheduled for April 17, at 7:30 p.m. and April 18 & 19 at 2:00 p.m.
