1 hour before performance
The Capitol Lounge is almost as busy as the Martin Theatre and serves two purposes. First, it’s a good place to start any visit to 220 West 4th Street. So come early, meet your friends and enjoy a drink. Located on the second floor, the Capitol Lounge typically opens 1 hour before show, remains open during intermission (if there is one), and typically stays open 1 hour after the show. The Lounge is accessible from the Mezzanine or via the lobby elevator (2R). There is a full bar, a large-screen TV where you can watch the performance, and an outside deck with a firepit.

EDUCATIONAL SERIES COALITION
Each year, regional schools partner with the Penn College Community Arts Center to provide thousands of students the opportunity to experience live professional performances.
These hand-picked programs line up with the curriculum being taught in the classroom and provide students with opportunities they may not have access to otherwise.
By collaborating with schools in our region, the Penn Community Arts Center provides these children with fun scholastic outings that expand learning beyond the classroom.

A COMMUNITY ENCORE PRODUCTION
The Community Encore Production (formerly Student Summer Stock) program offers high school students in the regional area the opportunity to participate in and learn how to produce a show for a performing arts theater. Each summer a production is picked and auditions are held for students in grade 7th through 12th. Students are able to take what they learn during the program and apply it to their individual schools’ programs. The community looks forward to this production every summer and it has become a true testament to quality and quantity of available talent in the Greater Williamsport area.
Community Encore Production presents
Anastasia: The Musical
July 17 – July 19
From Tony winners Terrence McNally, Stephen Flaherty and Lynn Ahrens, creators of such Broadway classics as Ragtime and Once On This Island, this dazzling show transports its audience from the twilight of the Russian Empire to the euphoria of Paris in the 1920s, as a brave young woman sets out to discover the mystery of her past. Pursued by a ruthless Soviet officer determined to silence her, Anya enlists the aid of a dashing con man and a lovable ex-aristocrat. Together, they embark on an epic adventure to help her find home, love and family. Anastasia: The Musical is scheduled for Friday, July 17, 2026 at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at 2:00 p.m., and Sunday, July 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
The Nutcracker
Another highly engaging and experience-enriched student opportunity that the Arts Center has is the annual holiday production of The Nutcracker. This collaboration with St. John’s School of the Arts Dance ensemble and Williamsport Youth Choir includes more than 125 young ballet dancers and musicians (k-12). This high caliber approach to elementary and high school age dance performance brings the experience of professional level musicians and choreographers together with beginner and advanced school age children. Many non-performing students also get involved as ushers, stagehands and for the costume workshop and set design studio. This program brings in thousands of local families and friends to the Penn College Community Arts Center to begin their holiday season in celebration of youth arts education and all areas of production, from set design, to construction to acting, singing and dance. performance.
